The 400 Amp Black Billet Alternator for 14-18 GM Trucks is a high-performance alternator that offers the highest possible amperage and durability available in a large case alternator. Designed with 6 phase technology and equipped with massive twin rectifier assemblies and 12 diodes, this alternator is built to handle daily use while still delivering over 200 amps at engine idle speeds.

One standout feature of this alternator is the use of the more robust 4 pin style regulator, which bypasses the RVC charging system on all 2005 and later GM truck applications. This eliminates extreme voltage fluctuation and prevents computer-controlled voltage swings. To install, simply connect the included 1 wire P101 harness to a tested 12v switched source and plug in the included P103 module into the vehicle's original 2 pin alternator wiring harness. With this alternator, you can have the voltage you want, when you want it, without any check battery lights or computer-controlled interference.

Please note that this unit comes with a smaller 1.75 inch diameter alternator pulley, which requires a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. Using the correct shorter belt is crucial as not doing so can result in very low or no output and create extra workload for the alternator. Additionally, this alternator is not recommended for sustained use above 5,000 RPM engine speed.
