The 400 Amp Gold Billet Alternator is a high-performance alternator designed specifically for 14-18 GM Trucks. This alternator is not like any other standard alternator you will find on the market. It is custom-built to order, ensuring the highest level of quality and performance.

One of the key features of this alternator is its durability. The Elite series alternators are built to withstand daily use and are equipped with 6 phase technology, massive twin rectifier assemblies, and 12 diodes. This ensures that the alternator can deliver 200+ amps of power even at engine idle speeds.

Installation of the 400 Amp Gold Billet Alternator is straightforward, but there are a few notes to keep in mind. The alternator comes with a smaller 1.75 inch diameter pulley, which requires a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. It is important to use the correct shorter belt to ensure optimal performance and prevent low or no output. Additionally, this alternator is not recommended for sustained use above 5,000 RPM engine speed.

One of the advantages of the 400 Amp Gold Billet Alternator is its 4-pin style regulator, which provides a more stable voltage output compared to the OE 2-pin ECU controlled alternator. This alternator bypasses the RVC charging system on all 2005> GM truck applications, eliminating extreme voltage fluctuations. Simply install the included 1-wire P101 harness to a tested 12v switched source and plug in the included P103 module into the vehicle's 2-pin original alternator wiring harness. With this alternator, you have complete control over the voltage you want, when you want it.
