Please note that this alternator comes equipped with a smaller 1.75-inch diameter alternator pulley. As a result, a slightly shorter drive belt is required for proper belt tension. It is crucial to use the correct shorter belt to avoid low to no output and unnecessary strain on the alternator. Additionally, sustained use above 5,000 RPM engine speed is not recommended for this alternator.

Part of our Elite series, the 400 Amp Red Billet Alternator has been newly redesigned for 2020. It offers the highest possible amperage and durability available in a large case alternator. Featuring 6 phase technology, massive twin rectifier assemblies, and 12 diodes, this alternator is constructed to withstand daily use while still providing over 200 amps at engine idle speeds.

The 400 Amp Red Billet Alternator features a more robust 4-pin style regulator, unlike the OE 2-pin ECU controlled alternator. This ensures there is no extreme voltage fluctuation, bypassing the RVC charging system on all 2005 and newer GM truck applications. Installation is made easy with the included 1 wire P101 harness and P103 module, eliminating the need for computer-controlled voltage swings and providing the voltage you need, when you need it.

This alternator is compatible with various models, including Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Full Size Truck/Silverado, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe/Full Size Blazer, GMC Full Size Truck/Sierra, and GMC Yukon, with specific engine and year requirements.
